Tired of manually interacting with your loved ones? Slicon Valley has the answer: LoveBot. This little bot, built at Techcrunch Disrupt SF, disrupts affection by automating it, and there’s nothing at all depressing about that.
It’s something we can all relate to: loved ones demanding we “acknowledge they exist” and “communicate occasionally.” If you don’t have time for that, Guru Ranganathan can relate.

Ranganathan then showed off his script-tastic solution: LoveBot.
This this little guy uses the Telegram SDK to let your loved ones know you’re thinking of them, even though you’re not. It’s the robot Halmark hackers have dreamed of, automating superficial things like human emotion so you can keep doing what matters: crushing it at work with your bros, free from petty distractions (like family.)
“Once you set it up I guarantee it, you’re going to get a lot of brownie points,” said Ranganathan. Yep, there’s no chance this will backfire, say by sending your wife a text while you’re at dinner together. Not possible
If you’re still reading, the app has three modes: love, casual, motivational. Pick which emotion you’d like to express, and LoveBot will do it for you and gah this is just too much.
